Philippe Heerinckx

Medical Advisor and Supervisor


Passionate about tactical medicine, Dr. Heerinckx became a medical advisor for Auriex in 2017.


Dr. Heerinckx develops medical protocols, guidelines, and best practices for Auriex medical programs, deployments, and operational teams.

He is a consultant for the "Faculty of Tactical Medicine" and oversees all medical aspects of Auriex's medical courses, including those in tactical medicine but also first aid approved by the Ministry of Labor in Belgium.


Dr. Philippe Heerinckx obtained his medical degree in 2001 from the University of Louvain (Belgium) and obtained his master's degree in emergency medicine in 2010. During his training, he was resident at the hospital University of Leuven (Belgium), Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Hospital in Aalst (Belgium) and University Hospital of Lausanne (Switzerland). He obtained a master's degree in disaster management in 2008 and a master's degree in hospital management and health policy in 2012 at the University of Louvain.

He was head of the emergency department at the AZ Delta hospital in Roeselare (Belgium) from 2012 to 2015 and is currently working as an emergency physician at AZ Maria Middelares Hospital in Ghent (Belgium).


He also works as an independent strategic consultant to improve clinical operations in emergency departments and across the hospital. He is a faculty member of the International Emergency Leadership Institute and a member of the European TacMed faculty.
